Whether you are visiting for the first time, or you are a local visitor, here are some great ideas for fun and exciting things to do on your next caravan holidays Cornwall. Cornwall is located in the southwest of the UK, with lots of beautiful scenery to see and enjoy.  There is a rich maritime history in this county, as the sea features heavily as a backdrop for this area.

The Seaside

One of the main draws for visiting Cornwall is the wonderful expanses of brilliant beaches.  The area is famous for its surfing, with many people traveling to the area to sample the waves!  There are more than 400 miles of spectacular coastlines in Cornwall, with over 200 beaches to choose from.  Some of the best beaches are little hidden gems, away from the beaten track.  If you have your family with you, there are plenty of safe beaches to enjoy swimming and water sports at.

The History

Cornwall has an amazingly long history, with plenty of museums to teach you about the past.  Well known for its history of pirates, smugglers, and sailors, you can really immerse yourself in the maritime history of the area.  Ideal for rainy days, there are loads of museums where you can find out more about the rich heritage of the county.  We love the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth, where you can explore the old myths and legends of the sea…

Green Fingers

If being on land is more your thing, you will be spoilt for choice with amazing gardens to explore. Cornwall has a vast array of flora native to the area, thanks to the unique climate.  As it is in the far southwest of the country, there tends to be warmer and sunnier weather compared to other parts of the UK!  You may find some exotic plants happily growing down in Cornwall.

Walking

The whole of Cornwall is bordered by the southwest coastal path, with massive stretches of quiet walking routes to explore.  There are some truly spectacular views to be found, with the rugged cliffs and moors all joined by the walking routes you can explore for days!

Whatever you decide to do during your vacation in Cornwall, we are sure you will be amazed and surprised by the sheer number of different things to do and places to see you will find.  There is a huge range of different places to explore, along with fun activities for all ages.  There are all sorts of places to stay as well, so you can easily find local hotels, caravan parks or lodges to stay at.  If you are after a family break, caravan holidays are always popular in Cornwall.
